She was diagnosed less than a year ago and has two daughters, ages 14 and 20. She is not doing well. I am thankful to you for sharing your journey and fight with this disease; hopefully, in some way, that will help bring attention and funds to research for a cure to this horrible disease.

Your words remind me of my friend. She is a mother, was a writer and continues to be a true fighter. And somehow, alone in her bed and unable to move, she continues to find a reason to smile on most days.

Just to sit and enjoy adult beverages at gatherings is just one of the simple pleasures I miss.
