For us, what has worked best is to use our existing network. We have connections to all the people who have helped us so far; either we know them personally or our friends do. We had one family in particular who was instrumental in securing many of these supporters. I haven’t had much luck when I reached out to people who I had no connection to. But it never hurts to try, and reaching out to people on twitter is usually the best way.
